Terms of use
The agreement you accept by using Indie, written to be read rather than skipped.
What Indie does
Indie brings your apps’ health, incidents, purchases and refunds into one place, and sends notifications to the web app and your iPhone. It checks the addresses and heartbeats you configure, records the events and sales you send or connect, and shows them back to you.
Indie reads; it does not act on your payments. It does not create charges, issue refunds to your customers, or change your Stripe account.
Your account
You need to be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms, for yourself or for the business you represent. Keep your sign-in details and project keys secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Workspace owners decide who else can see their workspace.
Your content stays yours
Your projects, events, sales records and customer details belong to you. You give MVP Labs permission to store and process them only to provide Indie to you, including through the providers named in the privacy notice. That permission ends when you delete them.
You are responsible for what you send to Indie, including information about your own customers. Send only what you have the right to share, and keep secrets and card details out of events.
Plans and billing
New workspaces include a 14-day trial. After that, Indie costs $12 per month or $120 per year, in US dollars, plus any tax that applies. Your plan includes unlimited projects within the published allowances for monitors, events, devices and history. The iPhone app is free with your Indie account and has no purchases of its own.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel from billing settings at any time: the plan keeps running until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. Prices can change, but never for a period you have already paid for. We will tell you about a new price before your next billing cycle, and it applies only from that cycle on.
Refunds. If Indie does not work as this page and the product describe, and we cannot fix it, email hello@heyindie.io and we will refund you. On the monthly plan, we refund the current month’s $12. On the annual plan, we refund the unused part of your year: every month that has not finished yet, including the current one, at $10 each. A refund ends your subscription when it is issued.
Refunds are for problems with Indie itself, such as a feature that does not work as described. They do not cover a change of mind, time you did not use after subscribing, or allowances and limits that were published before you subscribed. Nothing here reduces refund rights you have under law. Payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms.
If your trial or subscription ends, monitoring, alerts and new activity stop. Your saved history stays available, so you can export or delete it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Indie to break the law, to monitor systems you are not authorized to check, to send other people’s personal information you have no right to share, or to attack, overload or probe the service or the people using it. Use the published APIs within their limits. We may suspend an account that does any of these things.
What Indie does not promise
Indie is a monitoring and notification tool, not a guarantee. Checks run at intervals, providers can delay or drop messages, and iOS Focus, Silent Mode and notification settings decide what your phone shows and plays. Do not rely on Indie as the only way to learn about something critical.
Indie is provided as it is. Sales totals reflect the events Indie received and may differ from your payment provider’s own reports, for example when events arrive late or currencies differ. Use your provider’s records for accounting and tax.
Ending it
You can stop at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may end an account for a serious breach of these terms. If we stop running Indie, we will give you notice and time to export your data.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, MVP Labs’s total liability for any claim about Indie is limited to what you paid for Indie in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost revenue, lost data, missed alerts or other indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and we will tell you in Indie or by email before the change applies to you.
